Statement of Faith

The heartbeat of Free & Powerful Ministries is to teach individuals around the world how to succeed in life God's way. God has created every human being with a divine purpose that includes them living supernaturally successful by faith, and empowering others to do so in love. What we believe ...

We believe the Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible and inerrant (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26).

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal (I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11). 

We believe Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. On earth, Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for mankind and thus, atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He rose from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory to receive His Glorious Church unto Himself, to be with Him forever (John 1:1,14, 20:28; 1Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; 1Timothy 2:5; Ephesians 5:26-27; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

We believe salvation is a free gift from God. Every human’s only hope of receiving salvation and being cleansed of sin is through repentance and faith in the blood of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:8-21).

We believe for anyone to know God, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential (John 6:44, 65).

We believe provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the physical body through believing prayer (Matthew 8:16–17).

We believe all believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, which is witnessed by the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance (Acts 1:4-5, 8; Luke 11:13; Acts 2:4).

We believe sanctification is realized in the believer by taking heed to the Word of God and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit empowering them to live a holy life (Psalm 119:9; John 17:17; 1 Thessalonians 4: 1-8; 1 Peter 1:15-16).

 We believe there shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life (1 Corinthians 15:20–23); for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment (John 5:28–29; Revelation 20:11-15).

We believe following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new convert is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized by immersion in water in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38).

We believe the Lord's Supper shall be observed regularly by all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, as instructed in the Scriptures (Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Cor. 11:23-26).
